Summary
The Route Driver position requires a candidate with a strong background in delivery driving, moving, and heavy lifting. Communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues. Premium skills such as customer service, commercial driving, and orientation towards detail are highly valued. Relevant skills including independence, cleaning, and route driving knowledge are beneficial for success in this role. A valid driver's license is mandatory requirements for this position. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in English to effectively communicate with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

- Safely and responsibly drive, operate and maintain the service vehicle, including loading and operation of the vehicle and it’s vacuum system

- Professionally, service and supply portable restrooms, hand wash stations and agriculture trailers, using vacuum systems, cleaning tools, pressure washers and chemicals

- Confidently operate tablet and smart phone to facilitate communications, locate addresses and interact with routing software and logistic coordinators

Work independently and consistently making good decisions while positively representing the company at all times and building customer satisfaction for all accounts serviced

- Identify safety and maintenance issues to maximize equipment run time

- Assist, when scheduled, with support for weekend events that may include holidays

- Be comfortable with change in the daily routine by demonstrating adaptability and flexibility

- Perform basic mechanical and maintenance tasks on the vehicles, water and vacuum systems and portable toilets. This would include but not be limited to checking fluids, tire pressure, fueling, tightening of fittings, replacing door latches, springs, toilet seats, daily safety checks etc.

- Keep track of purchases on company credit card, complete route paperwork including record of delivery, service and pick-up of equipment

- Other duties as assigned or needed

Physical Requirements

- Applicant must be able to move portable sanitation units from the truck to the ground and reload and secure units on to the truck or trailer after service is complete. This may require the lifting or maneuvering of items up to 200 lbs.
